Nothing really new here. Maybe some new material technology but the basic
concept has been around for years. I remember in Popular Mechanics they
touted the same double opposed engine as the engine of the future along with
a Lear designed Sterling external heat engine. I helped restore several
Fairbanks Morse submarine diesel engines that used the opposed double piston
but on 2 geared crankshafts. Huge torque not much rpm, 800 tops.
