[Diesel-RVs] Re: Correct Tire Pressure

Following is a quote from the Michelin web site on RV Tires.

>>>
For control of your RV, it is critical the tire pressures be the same
across an axle, while NEVER exceeding the maximum air pressure limit
stamped on the wheels.
<<<

Therefore, for RV tires, the pressure stamped on the sidewall is
Minimum pressure for Maximum load, and the max pressure stamped on the
wheel is often the limiting factor.

Following is a quote from the Michelin web site on Automobile tires.

>>>
Do not inflate your tires to the pressure listed on the tire's
sidewall UNLESS your vehicle is at the maximum load carrying capacity.
This is the tire's maximum inflation pressure, not the proper pressure
for your vehicle.
<<<

Therefore, for automobile tires, the pressure stamped on the sidewall
is to be considered an absolute maximum.
