Yes, they do .
I don't have the tech tips that describe how to add a pressure gauge and test drive it but it's apparently a common thing to have too much pressure, causing bang shifts .

But I'll wager there is someone in your area who might have the smarts to figure this one out. It might be something as simple as a misplaced shaft sleeve or seal ring.
