The problem manifested itself initially as a low power, fuel starvation, situation. I was only able to diagnose the problem after inadvertently driving the car around with out the vacuum diaphragm cut off attached to the motor. I installed a mechanical vacuum "diverter" button to relieve the vacuum when I switched off the key (analogous to a momentary on switch). This was quite a few years ago, and I have written in this forum about it. I have often wondered how many cars were disposed of because of this problem.
Also, trans mount is not back to the original and the car is smooth as snot on a doorknob.
Reglued detached fabric on rear doorway trim.
Adjusted front door strikers. Both now shut easily.
