You could just make a manual glow plug relay.  I uploaded pictures and instructions years ago.  Very nice when running vegetable oil.  Very inexpensive and dependable.  Just a relay, momentarily switch and hooking it to the right wire to make the glow light turn on so you know it's working.  Lawrence Rhodes
