Make sure it’s not the ring and pinion gear(s) in the differential. Check the diff fluid for metal.

There is a diff fluid seal in there also, at each wheel bearing,

Rear wheel bearings don’t usually need to be replaced. Are they making noise or what?

I have a 67 200d. This has drum brakes on the rear. I have already changed the bearings on the front which is disk brakes, so what should I expect to be different, or does anyone have experience changing bearings with drum brakes. Thanks.
