This is common and was caused by careless installation of the regulator/brush assembly ~ I'd take it off again and make sure you didn't do the same thing ~ the brushes have to be in fully so they'll properly contact the slip rings .

Installed Bosch voltage regulator.  No Dice.  12.9v battery now 12.5 after 10 minutes running.  Veg system used some so I now say if nothing else is wrong a new alternator is needed.  Is there a fusible link or fuse to check?   No higher than 12.17 while running. Switch on the veg system it goes to 12.7 and loses a 10th of a volt per minute. Something is wrong.  The alternator isn't putting out.  Is there a place to check the alternator output before it goes to the battery?  Lawrence Rhodes
