Upon further inspection(google images) I see three pipes held on with two bolts each...yuck. That means O rings and it appears you can't do it while installed. So no matter what o rings are part of installation. Taking out the dash is mandatory. Further yuck. I am told it's not a hard job just time consuming. Lawrence Rhodes

I looked online and saw heater cores with no tubes sticking out and o rings....does this mean there is a way to replace the o ring to possibly repair my heater core? Does o ring replacement require taking out the dash? Thanks for any information. I dread taking out the dash to find my core is good but my o rings are bad. Lawrence Rhodes.......
