Sounds like the gear teeth right at that point have a problem. I don’t know if the odometer can be taken apart but you’d have to at least take it out of the dash.

Odometer is working intermittent. Car is a 84 300 D. What is the best way to tackle this issue. Just hit 210,000. It seems to get stuck when the odometer hits the 9.9
