I was out looking through the papers in the '82 240D and ran across the battery receipt from when the battery died in Ontario on vacation ~ remember that ? . the new WallyMart (only place in 50 miles that had the correct one) was $77. plus the old battery .
So far it's been great but then I try hard to keep it sharply tuned so only 3/4 an engine revolution makes it spring into life .
Monday is new windshield day , All Star Glass in Gardena will install it for less than the original German , Mercedes sourced grommet .
Maybe Tom and I will go over there and have breakfast again while they attack it .
Chat up the nice Elderly Mexican man across the street with a sweet 1939 Chevy Sedan who wants me to buy his Muffler Shop so he can retire .
