Start with checking for loose plugs and a loose main fuse - the one at the rearward end of the relay box.

Next time I get in the car, light will come on. Then it will not. Fortunately we live in CA and car will usually start without it.  But if I use the correct starting procedure (two glow plug cycles then start) when plugs are working, it fires up immediately. I believe it is not a light issue but the whole system. Where do you start on an intermittent issue.
