Unless it's *perfect* , I suggest replacing it , the new ones from The Classic Center or your local M-B Dealer are really very good quality (even the one I got made in Turkey) and are le$$ than you'd think .
If you swing by the next time you're near by , I'll have a go at fixing it , there's a buncha oddly shaped parts all held in suspension by one spring , once it gets goofed up it's tricky to make it align properly again .
