[diesel_mercedes] Re: Tranny shift kit-repairs the 2-3 flare

I have a flare in the 1-2 shift, when accelerating very slowly, I originally assumed it was low vaccuum as it did not do it when accelerating normally or briskly (Vaccuum pump spinning faster).

That beling said, it is also greatly reduced, almost totally gone to the point that a non car person would not notice it, when the temp drops to about 45 F.

So hear are the questions:
1) The trans fluid will be slighly thicker could that be the cause of the improvment ?

2) Is there a slight vaccuum leak the shrinks in the cold and seals itself up?

3) Both or something else ?

84 300D, non turbo (non US model) 195K miles. I dont know when the last trans service was, but it was at least 45K+ miles ago.
