is the car overheating?
also, the water sitting in the block, should achieve a 'static level' where
it sits, and is full.
IIRC ,you'll not see the water circulating, until the thermostat opens.

radiatorhose and the water just stayed there. I would expect it to go down
as ir recycled to engine?
