In ALL cases ;

Anything on the outside of a flexible hose means it's Kaputi and just waiting to do you dirt .

On a Mercedes there are two of these oil cooler lines/hoses and BOTH need replacing whilst you're in there , it's an O.K. DIY job if you're patient and have access to a jack and safety stands etc, as you must needs remove the left side Motor Mount to get them out and back in again .

There's some tiny sheet metal clamps & supports that are held on by 6MM (10MM ATF) screws, *VERY* important to re install ! .

I can't imagine the co$t if bought locally , not too bad if purchased OnLine .
