[diesel_mercedes] Chattering relay in climate control pushbutton W123

 

Does anyone know what would cause a relay to sound like jiffy pop inside a W123 climate control pushbutton box? If I put it on full high or low it doesn't chatter but when the temp wheel is close to the ambient cabin temp, it chatters like crazy.
