Yes, Trish, I agree with you on all accounts. I seem to be "on the mend" now AFTER abandoning the "traditional" medical system and treatments.

A few years ago I had debilitating psoriasis on my hands. There were fire engine red, burning, flaking, excruciating. I didn't know what it was when I started going to doctors.

The first of four told me that I had been inside with dry winter heat and now it was getting warm and humid...I didn't buy it, but was in so much pain I took the prescription for the cream  and pills she gave me.  I used the cream, my hands burned like crazy. I washed it off and waited till that evening as the instructions said 2x a day.  I put it on again and again it burned like crazy.  I washed my hands and read the product insert.  "If you have burning, itching, swelling, oozing, red, flaky....stop using this product"  I thought HELLO!  That's WHY I went to the doctor in the first place!

I went to another doctor, but only got to see the NP, who didn't really address my hands but was more than happy to do a pelvic exam with Kevin in the room! (I told him he deserved to be there!)  The NP called back a week later saying she got an email from the doctor and if my hands didn't clear up the wanted to test me for an STD!  Kevin and I both said WHAT????

On to a dermatologist, who said I "got into something"  NO idiot, if I had gotten into something it would have been all over my hands, not just in specific spots.

So then I went to a Naturopath, who thought my diet diary was OK. I wanted to hit her on the head.  I was eating pizza daily and sucking down 2-3 Dr Peppers with it!

I was on my own.  I started researching online and found pics of psoriasis and thought I was looking at my hands!  Then I did research on psoriasis. If you've ever had chicken pox you are susceptible to psoriasis.  It is DIET related.  I had to find out WHY I was eating like that.  Ah ha, it was hormone hell, peri-menopause. (I thought I was having a nervous breakdown..I might have been having a small one at that time) I got my hormones under control and it cleared up my food cravings.  My diet cleaned up and my hands cleared up!

Have you studied much on GMO and our food chain? What we are forced to eat is, largely, trash!

I keep missing the PBS program about Monsanto.  I've heard all about it from customers at the Health Food Store.

I really want to get back into raising my own food again.  The meat on my chickens was nice and pink.  The chicken we buy at WM is more of a grey color.  My egg yolks are bright dark yellow/orange and huge the whites are firm.  The ones at the store at kinda washed out yellow, small and the whites are runny. There's just no comparison to fresh tomatoes or other produce. I've got a lot of windows that I want to use to make cold frames and a green house.  We saw one on PBS where this guy had it in the middle of his house and had stuff like banana trees in there!

One report I read said there is detectable amounts of the herbicide Round Up in everyone's urine! GMO is now banned in most of Europe, of late, but we still gobble it up here! References on request.

My former neighbors had an issue with weeds for some reason. He used Round Up often.  One of their dogs got sick and they had to put him down...found out they had poisoned him when he did what is natural...eat grass when he was outside!    I also have an article from the Ft Worth newspaper from many years ago about a duck that had it's feet burned when it walked across a lawn that had pesticide sprayed on it!

Sometimes I feel like I'm living in the middle of a science fiction movie.  Walk through WM when no one is in there...it's weird.  All of those TV's blaring this product and that.  Then you come home and the TV is blaring this drug or that and the attorney's are suing every drug company (BTW why doesn't anyone sue the FDA since they are the ones that allow the drugs to be on the market?).  When do people start thinking for themselves?  Why does everyone let the TV think for them?  I laugh when someone tells me they eat at Subway because it's "fresh".  I ask them "so what's so healthy there? The bread, that has no nutritional value? Or is it the highly processed deli meats loaded with sodium and nitrates?"  People don't even know what they are putting in the mouths.
