' rich ' is a matter of perspective

Oh how right that is!  Kevin and I are RICH!!! With love, health, security of knowing no matter what, we'll always have each other. :)

~ Country rich folks live in trailers less than 5 years old and don't have rusted out pickup trucks , heck ~ they might even have matching brand tires ! . =8-) .

No rotted out pickups here.  Nope, his tires don't match, only the two used ones I just put on the back!  Our trailer is so old we can't insure it..yet.  My agent told me once we finish renovating it they'll take pics and decide as it will no longer be a 1980 something, it'll be new.  We gutted it down to the steel girders, replacing all of the rotted wood and insulation. We changed it from gas to electric, creating walls where there were doors.  We cut holes in walls to install new windows where there were none prior! We put in sheet rock and solid tongue and groove floors. We had fun and learned a lot in the process. Like...No matter how fun it is to take a sledge hammer and tear out a wall, don't do it until you mark the wires so once the wall is down you know which of the bazillion wires goes to what! That was fun, hmm was this a switch or a wall plug? Did this go to the dishwasher or fan? Where does this go????

How cold could it have gotten ?

you have Keith ,

I'm sure you meant Kevin.  :)

dogs & blankets to cuddle / snuggle in ,

Oh NO!  Dogs stay OUT!  They have nice big warm houses. They stink. Do you know there IS a smell worse than skunk that a dog can get into!  It's dead cow!  Yep, a while back, my darlings went scouting and found one on the other side of the creek. I think Zeke rolled in it! He couldn't understand why I refused to pet him for about a week! They do not get along with the cats.  We do however have a house full of cats to snuggle with.  They can put off some body heat!  I was smart, I put my blanket in the dryer to warm up and I had been proactive, much to Kevin's complaints I put flannel sheets on the bed and an extra blanket.  I know most of the time the weather people blow things out of proportion, but for some reason I took heed that time.

as a last resort , head to the nearest dairy farm , cows shed lots of heat all winter long , just take a blanket and you'll be fine in a corner of the cow barn . (wish I didn't know all this crap but that's life)

Fresh milk!

Do keep your eyes peeled for the old paper bound shop manuals , I find 'em in the darndest places : Thrift Stores , Rummage Sales , abandoned cars , Chevy Dealers , on and on...

Kevin's mom is a thrift store, garage sale junkie!  I'll tell her to keep her eyes peeled.  Matter of fact she keeps asking if the car is fixed yet and told us she wants a ride so I promised to take her thrift storing.
