[diesel_mercedes] Re: stuck antenna

Yea, I got one for my 240 at WalMart for $100. It has a usb port and a aux. hole, it evens plays sd cards, never used that yet. Works fine and I have a sub-woofer behind the drivers seat so it sounds pretty good. Max

You can get a decent CD MP3 FM/HD for $100 at a place like Best Buy. I think you might need to run new wires to the speakers depending on what car you have, some of the older ones used common ground for the speakers which is incompatible with modern equipment. If you're putting in new speakers, you can get an angled adapter for the back panel off fleabay for less than $10, will allow you to put next larger size speakers in back. If you get decent name brand speakers they will sound a lot better than stock. I took out the first aid kit in my 84 300D and installed a pair of small subwoofers there, works OK, just adds some bass not head banging bass but just helps the low end.
