[diesel_mercedes] antenna / radio help 123 1985 300d

 

Bought the car with no radio / installed after market...all good.

What, in the orignal state of the car, was the antenna switch's job? Did the antenna raise with radio power? Did the switch have to be used?

What did the large black wire from the switch run to?

I am probably looking at an antenna motor problem too...how do you get at it?
