No if 80 hp with auromatc minus 33% +53.6 hp at wheel. Now manual 80hp
minus 10% = 72 hp at wheel.

I don't think the manny tranny would add 30 horsepower to the engine. (It's a '78, so non-turbo. Only had 80 hp on it's best day.) Still, pretty kewl....
So, we're thinking the 4-speed was installed from the factory...?

4 speed would give you at least 110 horsepower at rear wheel.You still lose about 10 hp from a manual from drive shaft and heavy flywheel.Automatics lose 33% power.
