Hi there...
I was just going to replace my PS filter and the leaky return hose, but after researching (and not really knowing the history of this car) I figured I'd do a flush as well.
All the instructions I've come across mention to undo the return hose at the pump. The details are a little unclear as to how to gracefully catch the fluid as you flush, and many folks comment that it does tend to gush.
Q: For the flush, can I undo the return hose at the other end and put that end in a bottle since I'm replacing the hose anyway? (assuming it will get soaked in PS fluid in the bottle)
I'm about to replace my fuel return lines, then run out to get more PS fluid (only got enough to fill the reservoir, now I want to do the flush...need more!) and then I'll finish up today with the PS maintenance.
Thanks in advance and happy weekend!
