That's a good question!
If I'd spend $3-4K on my 87 instead of selling it, it would have been it excellent shape (albeit not showroom) and good for another 100-200K+ miles as I'd already replaced most of the usual stuff (timing chain, vacuum pump, motor mounts, brakes, exhaust shocks, etc., etc.,) over a 3 year period. An aquaintance got 493K out of his 87 300D, then pulled the motor for use as a backup generator. Engine was still strong, but body rusted out around it.
What would it cost to make this one in showroom condition? $3850?In a message dated 9/17/2011 11:53:38 A.M. Central Daylight Time, ekautz@centurytel.net writes:Oh I now have an 1987 300D good driver.
