Re: [diesel_mercedes] Re: The Frankensteining of Great Cars

My father died and left behind a lincoln with the 350 ho engine. The interior of the car is a mess (my dad was a bit incontinent), but it has not one spec of rust in it and the motor is practically silent when it runs. So I'm not gonna change out the interior but I thought I might pull the motor and use it a kit car or something. It seems a pity to send it to the PAP; yeah I know it is not a Great Car. Is it possible to run the motor on a different platform and do i have to yank the Computer and all the controls, too? Is it possible to get a universal controller, so I can run the engine & tranny in a volvo wagon? I'd like to get one of those Shelby replicas but it is too much cash.

Mercs are great...just want to stay in the MB thread.
