Nate, a couple of years back I posted a pic of a fuel strainer that I have installed in my 300D, I should have bought more of them, they were $10, each, I put one in my bus, and another in the car. Try truck dealers for a fine mesh fuel strainer, you can clean the screen & it saves the heck out of your fuel filter. You might even install a truck filter, those toy ones that are stock are a bit of a joke, don't get me wrong, I loooove my Mercedes.
