You can pop the linkage (one piece) from the cruise control if you don't want to mess with fuses.

Subject: [diesel_mercedes] throttle issue 300sd
I did a valve adjustment, and after putting all the mechanicals back together, after I drove to work 60 miles, when I was driving home, the throttle was sticking. Had to put toe under gas and pop up to get it to stop revving? (I hope that's a word). Took another look at everything, and determined that the accelerator pipe was in the wrong hole on the manual shut off lever. Fixed that, and still have the issue. Now I am thinking it may be the cruise control. Before I drive home tonight, I may remove the fuse for the cruise. But thought I would ask for other thoughts before I tinker with it. Tach goes up with acceleration, but will not drop unless I do the toe thingy.
Thanks
Chuck
