Hi Carl,

I blew through a few FLAP alternators, one after another, while they
were still in warranty, yet what a pain.
I bought the Bosch factory one from http://www.autohausaz.com and it's
been fine ever since.

Max could also be right about the regulator, especially on the original
one. The FLAP alternators seemed to have some issue that ate through the
regulator in 6 months or so.

Try the regulator first, if you've got the time. It's cheaper.
