It all depends on the traffic ~ this morning @ 04:30 I was held up getting on near the Northern terminus of the I-110 freeway but as soon as I got to the bottom of the ramp , I pulled out and passed the new Mercedes and the racer-ricky truck , spooled it up to 85 and was in down town in a *very* brief time .
The antenna , differes ~ if there's a hexoganal nut at the base , you need to loosen this and then have SWMBO turn the key on whilst you pull on it and it'll spool all the way out before the motor stops running ,in about 12 seconds.
If you just pull the antenna shaft out after unscrewing the base nut , about 1/2 the time it'll break the internal drive & ruin the whole thing .
If , OTOH , there's a funny looking black rubber grommet / ball thing in the fender where the antenna pokes through , you can just dismount it inside the trunk & work it down & out for service , replace the grommet as it's cheap but it'll still leak into the trunk anyways .

But really my radio has quit, the antenna is at half mast and stuck, I do have a
new pap antenna, what are the odds that it is the antenna at fault. & how does
the trunk liner come out do I use brute force and ignorance, or can I finness
it?
