B2 is when you have no 1,or 2nd.You have to roll car then it going.There is one more Item a K spring,but I don't know for what gear.Hopefully your problem is minor.Check switch under gas pedal,in case its stuck by unplugging it.That would hold you down in gear.

Hi All,

I have an '85 300SD with no 3-4 (high gear) shift. Is that a/the B-2
problem or something else. The other functions are okay and it does not
even try the 3-4 upshift. No flare, nothing. Any ideas?

It's a CA emissions equipped car if that makes any difference.
