[diesel_mercedes] It's Different

Recently I've been driving mostly my old 1976 GMC 3/4 T InLine 6 cylinder truck or my 1959 Metropolitan Nash FHC , both are really good daily drivers with comfort and good fuel economy .

Yesterday I decided to change up and drive my 1984 300CT Coupe again , wow ~ what a difference ! .

Not only vastly more power but it feels different and I'm comfortable driving it in freeway traffic @ 85 + MPH .

I hope to wash the Diesel smoot off the trunk to - day (it's 40* F) so I won't be embarrassed when I drive it this Saturday on the Classic Mercedes Coastal Cruise . those guys have the most pristine museum piece Mercedes you'll ever see on the road . they're *very* nice about my old beaters as none can quite keep up with me but still and all , having black smudgy Diesel smoot on the left of the trunk lid is embarrassing.

It's just that now , washing my car is nearly an all day event and is quite painful to boot . I'll be lucky if I can manage to wash both the car and the wheels , usually I have to separate them by one week .
