I agree, we should be doing better.
I had an 96 Geo Metro, it was the luxury addition, it had the gas eating 13" wheels instead of the 12".
I continually got 44-47 MPG and never under 41 when the abusing the little 3 cylinder, and 49 when being conservitive.
Now you have the Chevy Aveo, and it gets 33 Highway (Sticker).
