I drove up to my place and did some routine maintenance and yard works, by mid day it was 104* F, too dang hot to be screwing around in town so Demarkis and I loaded up in my coupe and hit the Angeles Crest Highway, there was very little traffic apart from some young asian kiddies in their rice rockets plodding along 10 MPH below the speed limit on the world class twity road, they refused to yeild, use th turn outs etc. ~ typical kids : they're afraid to drive quickly and don't want an old man in an old car to show them up .
In time I was able to scoot around them and then the fun was on ! .
I was able to go as fast as the tires would hold, interestingly Demarkis never grabbed the passenger assist handle, Tom never lets go of it....
I took a different route back down and again got stuck behind some young folks who refused to use the turnouts and actually blocked me from passing in the designated two lane passing zones ~ one guy in particular swerved using both lanes to block me .
At the bottom of the hill was some construction going on, the lane blocking guy waved a bored CHP officer over and said I'd been tailgating him and scaring him...
Typical cowardly bullshit from those who refuse t learn and are scared .
The car is running well, I stored it back at Tom's garage so I can concentrate on other things for a while .
