A few months ago we were talking about gas in the diesel tank. A member had put some in his and was reporting to the group about the experience. I was going tru my manuals and found a small Mercedes -Benz owners manual-emissions systems and maintenance California version-1980. If my camera worked I would post a pic. Its full of good information and has info about fuel.
On page 23 is a entry about diesel fuel in very cold weather. It states that in cold weather when you cant get winter diesel its best to add kerosene. If you cant get kerosene then add regular grade gasoline up to 30%. Do not use premium gas. Then it goes on to say that even in colder temps of less than-22C/-8F(which is not even that cold, gets colder than hat every winter here) do not exceed 50% supplementary fuels. I think it is saying 30% gasoline or 50% kerosene but not 50% gasoline. Anyway straight from MBZ. Anyone else have this manual? max
