This is what I'm planning to do ~ I'm just waiting for the low fuel lamp to light (yes, it works) before I fill up with another tankful of Dino Diesel and some Biobor and change the filter .

As you can see the filter is very large so no need to run a daisy chain of them, I carry spares in the glovebox at all times .
The intake screen remains perfectly clean so I'm reasonably sure the remaining crud is deep within the injection pump .
The crud in the return filter is fine, very fine, like flour except black .
Normally fungus leaves chunks that look like coffee grounds .
Stand by to see what happens next .
