[diesel_mercedes] Fuel Economy Check '84 300CD Slushbox

 

435.7 miles, low fuel lamp on at 382 miles, 24MPG .

I'm now using "BioBor JF" fungus killer and Lo ! . after two maybe three tanks of it, the clear plastic filter in the return hose is almost still yellow .

? Dare I hope that maybe I'm getting to the end of endless fuel fungus problems ? .

Stay tuned ! .

Once it remains clear for a full tank of fuel, I think I'll swap out this 1985 junkyard wreck injection pump for the original one I sent out for rebuilding, they only re calibrated it and sent it back, $500 .

I sure home it's good, I was willing to pay to have it fully disassembled and rebuilt .

I still have the lope/soft miss at hot idle, it bothers me .
