Apparently it depends on the honesty of your local fuel retailer ~
I've been watching and most jumped up by at least .20 cents, some more .
I remember my first old beat up VW in the Fall of 1970 in Pasadena, local indie gas place was .32 cents / gallon meaning i could fill up the tank (10 gallons max) _and_ eat dinner @ Bob's Big Boy and then drive all night long for a $5 bill .
Good times .
Diesel at that time was .25 cents / gallon IIRC, I didn't care .
It stayed at .50 cents the gallon long after gasoline went past 1.00 / gallon
A while back Diesel fuel hit $5 / gallon and this crashed my paper thing budget even though I didn't really reduce the miles I drove .
Parts are beginning to arrive for my '82 240D , UPS ignored my instructions and left the AC condensor on my porch !

It seemed diesel got hit really hard. When I started driving diesel it was 1/2 half of gas which was .80 cents then(about 1976.
