375 miles, no AC, no fuel additives .
22.4 MPG, this is from when I ran it dry and then replaced the injection pump with a good used one from an '84 (apparently) W126 300SD and five freshly rebuilt and tested by me injectors .
It now gets up and BOOGIES
~ the turbo boost comes in much lower RPM's than it ever has before and less throttle = more power and faster acceleration from a dead stop plus NO SMOKE (yet, sigh) so mayhap I have finally turned the corner .

The fuel was Dino Diesel with no additives and the clear plastic intake screen was clean but both paper element micronic fuel filters were dirty, not horribly so, they just changed from bright yellow to darker yellow, no visible crud nor chunks ~ like there was flour or other super fine stuff in the fuel .
We'll see, I'm waiting for my original injection pump to be fully rebuilt by an authorized BOSCH Service Station ~ I hope they're honest and good, I'll certainly let you know how it goes .
I'm hoping this tank full of Pro-Pel Biomass Diesel Fuel plus the K100 fungus killer gets me back up to 25 MPG or better .
