Bad planning on these cars. Very messy oil change. Mine must of not had a skid plate or its not in the way. Left side, 19mm or 17mm socket, drops down with a lot of oil. Might help to jack up that side of the car a bit.  Max

There is a long bolt you undo from the bottom and the oil, canister comes straight down. I don't remember if you have to take the skid plate off to service this as I left mine off 30 years ago.
Be sure you have the correct filter, black rubber O-ring, and a copper (squash) washer for the bolt. Shops will sometimes put in the wrong (smaller) filter. Be sure to get the old black rubber O-ring out of there before putting the new one on; it'll be a pain.
