I didn't take full note of the start and finish mileage as SWMBO always tells me to but it was a long haul .
I used one , maybe two quarts of oil and 1/2 quart of ATF, that after cresting 9,400 + ' on BIA Rt 13 East of Red Rock , the 14% grade slowed the poor old 240D down to 5 MPH per the GPS but other than that one mountain , the car ran better and better the higher up I drove .
I got home Sunday evening and passed out in my recliner , got up Monday and fetched my Puppies from the kennel and yanked out the Lloyd carpets and washed them , hung them up to dry then my back locked up ~ no more worky this week I think .
Took my Daughter in Law out for her Birthday last night , returned home and fell out of the car into the street , landed on my side / back / thigh and couldn't get up for a while , car idling away , door hanging open , glasses flown off into the gutter .
Turns out I musta gouged my face on the edge of the door on my way down as I have a bloody scratch below my lip...
Getting old sucks , big time .
