As Rob and others have noted, start with the basics and move up.
I had similar problems with the 220D and after a diesel purge and fuel
filter change out, it started better. Then it was new glow plugs,
rebuilt the vac pump and especially a valve adjustment. For the latter,
I made my own wrenches. Good videos and other online info for this
work. Good time to do a reverse flush of your cooling as well.

I'm with the others on the list, it sounds like fuel filters, fuel problems. Diesel purge, and change the filters.
I once crawled out of the hills doing 20mph after clogging my filters diesel loosened by the windy roads. New filter and right back running.
