Re: [diesel_mercedes] Routine Tranny Service

Nate,

This Tranny has had the vacuum valves adjusted, as well as a shift kit
installed, which helped quite a bit,
There were broken springs in there, and it was flaring like no tomorrow.
I thought it was toast.
The MB tranny guy, said my used tranny I bought is functioning yet quite
worn.
When I shift into reverse, it takes awhile before it engages.

The tranny doesn't flare too bad, yet it now shifts back and forth
between 'gears' when it should just shift up when driving off a light.
At full 'throttle' it shifts pretty good.

I should talk to the local guy in Orange, who does most of the MB tranny
work in OC, and see if it's another easy fix, or something worse.
I think it'll be OK for awhile, yet at some point, I'll need to get it
rebuilt.

Thanks for the advice.
