[diesel_mercedes] Bio Diesel

I was never able to find B100 anywhere in California and I looked and looked .

I'd love to run a tankfull through for cleaning purposes .

When I had my '81 240D in San Francisco I used B100 in it with great success.  The car had somewhere over 200k on it when I bought it (the odometer was broken, of course) and sat quite a lot for a couple of years before coming to me.  I had the fuel lines changed over to Viton since biodiesel's solvent properties will degrade the natural rubber.  The car started to run much smoother and quieter than it did when I bought it.  It never smoked.  When I moved to Palm Springs there was no biodiesel to be found, so I went back to dino diesel.  The car's performance wasn't as good and it smoked a bit.  If I could get my hands on B100 that's all I would use.

Your experience, of course, may differ.
