Glow plugs do their thing, no throttle (or very little throttle). I listen for the relay to "thunk" in Mary before I turn the key all the way. On Martha I have never heard the relay "think" and in fact I don't think I have ever seen the glow plug light on Martha - she is ready to fire up almost immediately.
