[diesel_mercedes] How do you drive an automatic?

 

Weird question but it's been so long since I've driven an automatic tranny vehicle. Especially on long grades, do you drop it into S? As an aside, I once had to get checked out in a frontend loader/backhoe, I looked at the guy and said "where's the clutch pedal?" The guy looked at me and asked if there were really clutches in heavy equipment? And I don't think I'm that old! Or maybe I am. Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android
