Just so Fred ;
My beloved Diesel Sports Coupe is no cherry but I do try to keep after things , some more than others .
If I'da been better about keeping it waxed , all that oil / tar would have easily wiped or washed right off instead of the hours and hours of hard labor .
Remember to keep after the brake dust as it's corrosive and will etch the paint ~ after going through much hassle to dismount , bead blast then spray paint all five wheels with urethane plus a clear coat then back them to properly dry the paint , imagine my dissappointment when they looked like crap only one year later .
So , I dismounted and bead blasted al five heels again then I had them powder coated and they looked great until I allowed the damn brake dust to remain a few months , now they look great but have pitting I cannot hide .
A few more little things to do this morning and I'll be RoadReady .
My shoulders still feel likethey got run over my a cross town bus so I'll likely knock off as soon as I get the car cleaned out of junk and the windows washed .
I was chatting with a local Cop this morning and he said I should just have the small rust hole under the backlight repaired and blend in the paint as the rest of the car looks pretty good and God knows , they seem to dmage the car a lot every time I have one re painted completely .
