Quite a difference in pushing the old 1968 VW Beetle, jumping in the drivers seat, popping the clutch, and roaring off into the wilderness. If I push the w123's, all I get is a hernia.

All W123 and W126 Diesels with automatic trannies 1985 and earlier are equipped with a 2nd pump making it possible to start at 35MPH when shifted from neutral into drive or S. I've never had to use this feature, but it's there for emergency situations.
