Re: [diesel_mercedes] locks not working no vacuum

Hmm....  Interesting dilemma.  Interesting, because both the trunk and fuel door locks are spring loaded to default to open.  In other words, you need vacuum to LOCK them, and the lack of vacuum will leave them open.

Probably the vacuum switch mechanism in the driver's door has either gone bad or become disconnected from the door lock/latch.

You should still be able to get into the trunk using the key.  Insert the key into the trunk button, twist it clockwise, and push in the trunk button.  Pulling up on the individual door lock buttons should unlock the doors.

Subject: [diesel_mercedes] locks not working no vacuum

I am in trouble. I cannot get the fuel door to open I can't get the trunk open and none of my doors will unlock when I unlock the driver's door. Getting low on fuel. This just happened, it has worked for 32 years. 8-) I don't mind locking manually if you can help me get them open So I can fuel it. And get in the trunk. 81 300SD
