[diesel_mercedes] Re : Why Not Grease car ?

That's why Carl :

Only a very few folks won't get tired of the B.S. & mess involved with the greasecar and begin to skip steps & cut corners then it's
Hel-OO junkyard .

I realize there are many who run grease cars for decades sans problems but statistically they're very few .

I grew up during the VW Air Cooled boom years and had my VW Shop during the glory years , as soon as it became a ' hip ' car to drive , the kiddies began buying them up cheaply and running them right into the ground .

We have thousands of junkyards in Los Angeles alone and my favorite one for over 20 years , had TWO ROWS of Air Cooled VW's , changed at least once a week . the busses were put into a different row and there were always a few extras they'd drop any old place in the yard ~ yes this was a boon for me to scavange cheap good used parts but now , here in VW Central ofTHE WORLD , there ae very few left due to attrition .

Our old Mercedes Diesels are going down the very same road , mark my words .

I hate waste of any kind & over 50 % of all greasecars are wasted and junked in 12 months or less .

FWIW , you are correct Carl , I'm just whinng .
