A teenager's first car is a throw-away; it'll get crashed or trashed no matter what you tell them. Buy a 144 Volvo diesel with an automatic transmission.  Bill in Oregon

I dunno ;

In my old W-123's , I just ordered up new M-B Dealer keys & lightly lubricated the lock cylinders with graphite and all was well ~ this on every one I've bought so far as all are high milers , over 300,000 miles .

Or , are you talking about the vacuum & electrical part ? .

Either way , a decent $650 W-123 is a good thing , be aware it'll never be as fast as your W-126 due to aerodynamics , don't buy him any car he'll want to Hot Rod if it can't do that .
