OK then I need the one for the actual car, which is '81 300D.

The motor is the '80 300SD.

That explains why I had trouble finding it online!

Searching for a speedometer cable for my '81 300SD.

Rock Auto price is close to $80!
Ecklers:  $48.99
O'Reilly: $7.99...something is wrong with this picture!

Can't find it on the Autohaus site...gonna give them a call and find out where they hide them.  They usually have the best price and ship fast.

I really wanted to get it local, hate driving without it.  Only parts stores around me are Napa, Auto Zone & O'Reilly.  Not a lot of choices.
